Masaryk University Showcases DiCiM Project at Brno's Science Festival

On September 8, 2024, the Masaryk University (MU) team presented the DiCiM project at the annual Science Festival, the largest science event in Brno, Czechia. The MU team, represented by Michal Krčál, Radoslav Škapa, and Alena Klapalová, introduced the audience to the ways digital technologies can enhance value recovery processes, contributing to more sustainable practices.

Alongside Masaryk University, over forty scientific and technical institutions, universities, private companies, and educational organizations took part in showcasing their cutting-edge research and developments.

As part of their interactive presentation, the MU team engaged the audience with an online quiz, AI simulations, and educational materials that highlighted the principles and advantages of a circular economy. This concept, central to the DiCiM project, emphasizes sustainability and resource efficiency by promoting the reuse and recovery of materials, which aligns with the broader goals of digital innovation in modern industries.

The event was made possible with the support of DiCiM project partners, Lexmark, Arcelik, and Gorenje, who provided essential materials for the team’s demonstrations.

The Science Festival not only celebrated the achievements of the scientific community but also helped raise awareness of the importance of sustainable development through the lens of cutting-edge technologies like those being developed in the DiCiM project.
