General Assembly Meeting in Stockholm, Sweden

On June 20th - 21st, 2023, partners and relevant stakeholders attended the DiCiM General Assembly in Stockholm, Sweden.

The objective of the General Assembly is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, best practices and lessons learned, ultimately creating a better understanding amongst the DiCiM Consortium and helping to strengthen cooperation.

The Assembly was very well attended, with over 30 in-person and online attendees. To commence, four DiCiM work package leaders presented the activities and achievements of the past year and plans for the upcoming 6 months. A captivating keynote address was provided by Andreas Archenti, Head of Manufacturing and Metrology Systems. Project partners IRIS and C-ECO hosted presentations about the demonstrations on refrigeration and automotive technologies. Plans for further research, improvements and scalability were addressed. To conclude day one a focus session ‘Identify and manage synergies among demonstrators workshop’ presented current developments regarding collaboration across disciplines and industries and how to move forward.

Day two kicked off with a number of thought-provoking activities from DiCiM project partners Lexmark and Gorenje. Topics such as digital solutions to boost new circular economy business models were explored. Kungliga Tekniska Hoegskolan and Masarykova Univerzita presented the main accomplishments, shared lessons learned and recommendations for specific work packages. The final workshop of the day delivered by Crowdhelix addressed the launch of the new Digital Helix, which is now open for membership. Researchers, academics, industry experts and regulatory professionals working in the ICT sector are invited to join and contribute to this exciting community.

The General Assembly concluded with a round-up of discussions and recommendations for the upcoming 6 months. The next General Assembly will take place in Chemnitz, Germany in December 2023.
